General & visiting

Where are you located?

You can find us at:

37 Deptford High Street, 
London SE8 4AD

The nearest train stations to us are Deptford and Deptford Bridge, but we're also in walking distance of New Cross and New Cross Gate.

What are your opening times?

Our opening times are as below:

Monday: Closed
Tuesday: Closed
Wednesday: 12pm - 11pm
Thursday: 12pm - 12am
Friday: 12pm - 1.30am
Saturday: 12pm -1.30am
Sunday: 12pm-5pm

What payment options do you take?

We accept both cash and card payments.

Is your venue wheelchair accessible?

We are located on the ground floor, and our front door is wheelchair accessible. Our toilets are somewhat accessible, but we are looking to improve these. Our doors measure the following in width: 


Front door: 90cm / Door into toilets: 85cm / Toilet cubicle door: 70cm

Our garden area is accessed through the venue, down a flight of stairs. However if you would like direct access to the garden, you may enter through the back gate.

Do you have an outdoor or smoking area?

Yes - our beer garden is out the back of the venue. Unfortunately, we can only keep this open to the public until 9pm due to our license, but you are welcome to smoke out the front of the venue after the curfew.

Do you have a cloakroom?

Unfortunately we don't have the space for a dedicated cloakroom, but please let management know if you need anything storing securely and we will do our best to help.

Can I book a table?

We are able to take advance bookings via email (info@homedeptford.com). Please try to contact us with at least 24 hours' notice, though, as we may not see your enquiry in time. Alternatively, you can pop in and speak to us in person to book a table or area.

Cafe & bar

Do you serve food?

We serve snacks (often complementary with your drink) and regularly host pop-ups from local food vendors. Keep an eye on our socials or visit our menus page to see what we're serving.

What drinks do you serve and how much do they cost?

We serve a range of cocktails, beers, ciders, soft drinks, teas and coffees. You can find our full drinks menu over on our menus page.

Can I work from the cafe with my laptop?

We are more than happy for you to come and work or study with your laptop - we just ask that you buy at least one drink, and that you're mindful of other customers and how long you stay for.

Is there a dress code for the bar?

We don't enforce any kind of dress code - just that you come dressed in something!

What extra activities do you have available?

We have a huge range of board games, as well as arts and crafts materials available for you to use for free. We also have an activity book with fun ideas for drawing and crafting activities to do while at the bar. Please show us what your do too - we love to share customers' creations on our socials!

Record shop

What do you stock?

The venue stocks thousands of vinyl records spanning a broad range of genres from the 50's to present day. You can find over 20,000 in our online Discogs store too, but we do have some shop exclusives that are only available instore!

Do you take special requests or orders for specific albums? 

We certainly can do our best to get in a record you're looking for, if you can't find it instore or online. Just pop in to ask Owain, or drop us an email.

Do you buy records?

We do indeed - feel free to call or WhatsApp Owain on +44 7723 410374 and he can arrange taking a look at what you have to sell.

Events & community

What kind of events do you run?

We're able to host a broad range of events - this includes (but isn't limited to):

Creative workshops & classes, kids' workshops, DJ-led music events, meet-up groups, live gigs, poetry and spoken word, panel discussions, comedy nights, open mic nights, open decks, book clubs, film nights, listening parties, pop-up shops, quizzes, table top and board game events.

Are your events free or ticketed?

Entry to the majority of our events is free, however some workshops or special events may involve pre-booking and/or an entry fee. Any booking links for events we're hosting are included on our event listings page.

How can I propose running an event or community project at Home?

We're always open to applications for one-off and ongoing events! If you'd like to pitch or suggest something to us, please email events@homedeptford.com with as much information as you can, and we'll let you know if it could fit into our programming!

Can I book out the whole venue for a private party?

Yes - we're happy to host birthday parties and other private bookings, and can close the entire venue for you, provided you have a minimum number of attendees.

Policies & accessibility

Is your venue LGBTQ+ friendly?

Absolutely - we welcome everyone at Home, regardless of sexual orientation or gender expression. 

Can under 18's visit the venue?

Our venue is family-friendly until 7 PM. After that, it is strictly 18+ unless otherwise stated on the event page.

Can I bring my dog?

We are more than happy for you to bring your furry friend, provided they are well-behaved!

What should I do if I witness someone in the venue acting inappropriately?

Please inform a member of staff immediately if another customer is making you or anyone else feel uncomfortable or unsafe. We reserve the right to remove anyone doing so from the venue immediately.

We have a zero tolerance policy for any kind of harassment or discrimination to both our customers and our staff - this includes (though isn't limited to) sexism, racism, ableism, homophobia and transphobia.
